Hello? Is this thing still on?
A lot has happened since my last post in 2023 (!!!), mainly surgery on my right wrist – yes, the one I write with – and a long recovery. I’m 6 months post-op and FINALLY able to type at an acceptable speed with both hands and write legibly. Huzzah!
It was a slow and painful recovery with a few complications. If you know me, you know patience is not my strongest virtue, so it has been just as much a mental challenge as physical and I’m still not at 100% but continue with occupational therapy (thanks Melissa!) once a week. That said, I am fucking back and have a lot of shit to do.
Don’t get me wrong, some good/great things happened last year too. I officially started my publishing company including filing for LLC status, IL biz license, and registered trademark; published my second children’s book; and revamped/launched multiple websites (thanks Tim!). It was mostly a LOT of legal stuff and paperwork (and money), but there was enough creative bits to keep me going. Check it out!
I’m currently working on a few long-term projects and continue to freelance my not-so-little tush off. I’m thankful and grateful to be on the “other side” and look forward to Fiona (yes, I named my wrist) functioning at full capacity in the near future. And who knows, maybe I’ll go rogue and resurrect the blog and the podcast?!?
